A historical event

I once saw a historian tell
about a historical event
It was a war and a king
was about land and wealth
people died
borders moved

I remember his moves
I mean the historian
he opened his arms
and closed them
opened his palms
closed them
just like a dance

I fight with everyone
or silently hate
or supress love
I just screamed at
my husband about
watering plants
it was wrong but
calculations tell me
the sum of his wrongs
exceeds mine

there was this event
it had a time
and a location
and resembled
a lot of others
