Sinbad the Sailor

My mother named me Sinbad
Life labelled me the Sailor
Adventures is what I do
Crossing stormy oceans
fighting sharks in the wet blue
swimming towards their sharp teeth
Symbolically, I mean

I have an appetite for danger
an immense unquenching thirst
Last night I ate strawberries
without rinsing them first

Being stabbed by an angry mob
is something that I fear not
Once I took five free samples
when only being allowed four
Oh, that candy tasted melony
with a sweet tang of felony

Fearlessness is one of my powers
One night I went to the grocery store
withouth checking its opening hours

One day I married a stranger
after that, I delivered a baby
then climbed a fourty meter tree
That is, I saw people doing it on tv

Life has always excitement in store
Daily, I try things I never tried before
Ice cream from milk rather than soy
Instead of vanilla, the flavour of rose
Didn't of course, but gave it a thought

Sinbad the Sailor is my name
Danger I seek again and again
Boldness is my greatest force
Once I left the cushions outdoors
despite ten percent risk of rain
